Instructor Vibeke Munk will introduce you to knitting traditions from Iceland and the Faroe Islands, among others, and give you an insight into patterns, colour theory, wool and tension swatches.<\/p>\n<p>During the workshop, we will work on a sweater featuring a Nordic pattern. The pattern, coffee and tea are included in the price.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop runs from 10 am to 3 pm, with a break from 12 noon to 1 pm. During the break, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to order lunch and drinks if you wish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Knitting needles: Circular knitting needles in sizes 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm, with cables of 60, 80 or 100 cm.<br \/>\nGauge for the sweater: 21 stitches x 32 rows in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm needles (10 x 10 cm).<br \/>\nYarn: Yarn suitable for the gauge above, in balls of approximately 125 metres each.<br \/>\nSizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL)<br \/>\nChest circumference: 84 (92) 100 (106) 114 (122) 130 (136) cm<br \/>\nMain colour: 300 (350) 400 (450) 500 (550) 600 (650) g<br \/>\nPattern colour: 100 (150) 200 (250) 300 (350) 400 (450) g<\/p>\n<p>Please also bring a notebook and a pencil or pen.<\/p>\n<p>To participate, you should be comfortable knitting even knit and purl stitches.
